And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: ‘The words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of God’s creation. “I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth. For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing, not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked. I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, so that you may be rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself and the shame of your nakedness may not be seen, and salve to anoint your eyes, so that you may see. Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me. The one who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” Revelation 3:14-21

“’I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Yet a little while and the world will see me no more,
but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and
you in me, and I in you. Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he
who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.’ Judas (not Iscariot)
said to him, ‘Lord, how is it that you will manifest yourself to us, and not to the world?’ Jesus answered
him, ‘If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him
and make our home with him.'” John 14:18-23

“Now I know that the Lord saves his anointed; he will answer him from his holy heaven with the saving might
of his right hand. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.
They collapse and fall, but we rise and stand upright.” Psalm 20:6-8

“Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil
day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and, as shoes for your feet, having put
on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. In all circumstances take up the shield of
faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet
of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in
the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints.” Ephesians 6:13-18

From now on, therefore, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we once regarded Christ according to the flesh, we regard him thus no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

2 Corinthians 5:16-17
