Women's Ministry
You are so important to God that He invites you to have a personal relationship with Him. The Bible tells us that God has a wonderful purpose for each and every life. At Emmanuel Church there are many opportunities to serve, grow and encourage one another in our faith. Women's Ministry provides opportunities for growth and fellowship with one another. We encourage you to become involved, to make new friendships and learn how to find significant purpose in Christ.
Personal worship of God is a habit that we need to practice regularly. We must set aside time everyday to be alone with Him and allow His Word to speak to our hearts. If you are new in your relationship with Christ begin by reading at least one chapter per day in the New Testament. A good place to start is in the Gospel of John.
Allow God's Word to sink into your heart and ask Him to help you understand what it means. If a verse speaks to your heart, go over it several times until you have it memorized. There is great reward in knowing and keeping God's Word.
Take time to pray. Prayer helps us to know God in a more meaningful way. Spend a few minutes praising Him for the blessings in your life.
As a wife, mother, sister, or daughter we face numerous demands on any qiven day. We know how precious your personal time is. So we've taken the time to check out a few Christian authors and their websites. Grab a cup of tea and take a few minutes to check out their websites and read some of the writings by Priscilla Shirer, Anne Graham Lotz and Angela Thomas and be encouraged in your personal walk.
Women's Prayer Breakfast
You are invited to attend the women's prayer breakfast on the second Saturday of each month. It is held in the Family Life Center, unless otherwise indicated, at 9:00 am. Every month we have a potluck breakfast, come join us and bring something to share.
After a time of eating and fellowship, one of our sisters in Christ will share her thoughts and offer encouragement to other women through her teaching. We close with a prayer time where requests are welcome. For those who have attended, we know that those who spoke have blessed you.

Preparing to Hear from God
Priscilla Shirer draws life lessons from the account of God speaking to the boy Samuel. In this beloved Bible story found in 1 Samuel 3, she relates six characteristics found in Samuel that are applicable to women today as they tune their hearts to hear God's voice.
These characteristics are:
A Simple Relationship, A Set Apart Holiness, A Still Attentiveness, A Single-Minded Worship, A Sold Out Hunger and A Servant's Spirit.
By listening to God's voice and obeying Him, women will be drawn into a closer relationship to God that brings a deeper desire to serve Him faithfully.
