Bob Lingard Housing Fund

On May 1, 2010, Bob Lingard of Rochester, N.H., was involved in a motorcycle accident on Rt. 11 in Farmington. Bob was brought by Life flight to Maine Medical Center where it was discovered he had suffered a broken back and multiple fractures which left him paralyzed from the waist down. Further complications caused a clot to travel up Bob's spine and he was paralyzed from the neck down. Bob is now home and living in the living room of their mobile home. The size of the rooms and hallways make it impossible for him to be moved about their home. Emmanuel Church has taken on the mission of getting him suitable housing. As of the date of the ride, Bob has worked his way to be able to move his torso and move his arms and is daily learning new skills. The doctors have said that because he can now move his upper body parts, that he will eventually regain mobility from the waist up!

Emmanuel Church has a goal of raising $40,000 to assist this family in obtaining suitable housing. The 2nd Annual Bob Lingard Motorcycle Benefit Ride was one of the ways we raised funds. Over 40 bikes left Emmanuel on August 27th to support this family. The total of all fundraising to date is $3,905.57. Talk with Pastor Ed if you have other fundraising ideas.
