The 3rd Annual Bob Lingard Benefit Ride on September 29th was a success with 31 riders braveing the weather to ride and many others donating anyway and staying dry:)
Bob was able to see the riders off and was here for the Community Cookout that followed after the ride. Bob is now able to move about in his wheelchair and is looking forward to living in a home where he can get out of the living room.

Emmanuel Church has exceeded our goal and raised $40,760 towards construction costs and the home is well under way to completion. Many volunteers have worked for months on this home and as of 5/15 the windows have arrived and are being installed by our dedicated volunteers. Laborers, go-fors, electricians, plumbing and heating technicians and carpenters are all needed. Call Jim White at 944-0145 if you have time to volunteer at the site.

Bob Lingard Housing Fund

On May 1, 2010, Bob Lingard of Rochester, N.H., was involved in a motorcycle accident on Rt. 11 in Farmington. Bob was brought by Life flight to Maine Medical Center where it was discovered he had suffered a broken back and multiple fractures which left him paralyzed from the waist down. Further complications caused a clot to travel up Bob's spine and he was paralyzed from the neck down. The 1st Annual Bob Lingard Benefit Ride in 2010 raised funds over $8,000 for medical related expenses.

Bob is home and living in the living room of their mobile home. The size of the rooms and hallways make it impossible for him to move about their home. Emmanuel Church has taken on the mission of getting him suitable housing.

As of the date of the 2nd ride, Bob has worked his way to being able to move his torso and move his arms and is daily learning new skills. The doctors have said that because he can now move his upper body parts, that he will eventually regain mobility from the waist up!
